Gadgets with Feet of Clay
by arnab, Jun 16, 2008
Success can cover a multitude of sins. The legendary Greek warrior Achilles was hot-tempered and had a heel that could not take much wear and tear (leave alone the arrow that Paris aimed at it) but well, he was rather nifty with a sword and spear, so no one really advised him to take a deep breath and count to ten or wear better footwear as long as he was winning. The techworld isn't that much different and is littered with products that managed to set sales records in spite of being far from perfect.
