There are many people who have many opinions on what should happen to a sex offender and how people get on these lists. Well There are those who are on the sex offender registery for several reasons such as: rape on an adult, molestation of a child, pornography and also just for having consensual sex with a minor.
There should be strong laws against sex offenders but there should also be a separate law and punishments for those who do similar violations such as public indecency such as those who urinate in public I want to know who is really a sex offender and who is just being stupid. Punishment should go accordingly to the violation.
For instance if someone molests a child they should just be just why should we pay for their housing and food in prison when it's just cheaper to just give them the death penalty. Sending Porn videos should also be considered offensive not knowing who will be on the other end of the phone. I know I have my teenage daughter answer my cell phone for me at times and if I was to receive something like that and she seen it well I would not be impressed at all.
People who take picture of children from there cars with out the parents permission should automatically be considered as offenders and they also should be on the offenders list.
