Actually, the shortage of water is becoming a more and more serious problem. Therefore, water conservation is important. I have collected some ideas to save water, and write them down here to share them with you.
At home, we can try to save water from many aspects. First, when we rinse dishes and vegetables, don't let the water running. Instead, try to prepare a large container to put the dishes or vegetables in. Then, turn on the tap to rinse them. In this way, we can save a lot of water. In the same way, we mop the floors. Also, check now and then to see if water is dropping from the taps, and change the bad taps when we find water leaks, or get them repaired. This is important. Don't take it for granted, and don't think it is not a big deal if the taps leak.
I rinse the vegetables this way: first, I try to rinse the rice to cook, and then use the water to wash dishes for the first time. Actually, this is a good way to wash dishes. The water used to rinse rice can help clear the dishes and vegetables. You can have a try to find how it works. I use the water which is used to mop the floors to wash the toilet. I wish that you could do the same to do some contribution to the water saving project. Though it is not a big deal to some persons, it is important for us to do so.
If you like gardening, there are some good ways to water the plants and flowers, too. Use spraying watering system or applications to water the plants and flowers. It can save up to 50 percent of water. You may have your own ways to save water when gardening.
There are many more aspects related to save water, and all of us should take part in this activity. Small efforts from each of us will bring up great influence of this planet. There would be more drinking water for our next generations.
