It is that time of year again! Ghosts and Goblins fill the night! Followed up by a quick trip to the dentist to fill that cavity! Here are some ideas to get rid of your Halloween overflow--
- Donate it-- Give it to your local hospital childrens ward or charity.
- Serve it -- Put out a big bowl when guests come over.
- Recycle it -- Turn it into something else! Use the chocolates in your baking and create your own designer cookie or brownie.
- Share it -- Bring a bowl with you when you go visiting. Or share it with neighbors who did not go trick or treating.
- Toss it -- That's a tough one but if you can't give it away, this is always an option.
- Eat it -- My favorite idea! But don't be greedy, it will show up on your hips!
- "Sell" it -- Check with your local dentist or orthodontist for a "buy back" program. Our orthodontist is offering two dollars per pound this year!
- Build it -- Christmas is right around the corner. Why not build your own "gingerbread" house. Use cardboard or styrofoam for the structure (you can also try graham crackers). Decorate with various candy "hardware". Be creative.
You can also make a Christmas tree using a styrofoam cone for the base and gluing (or pinning) candy bars or packaged candies around and around. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
