Cities in Space: Human Space Colonization in Our Future?

Since the earth is vastly overpopulated, Is it plausible to build spacestation cities?

I know it may sound a little sci-fi, but I believe that to counter over population,
it may be a plausible option
to build self sufficient, solar powered
space station cities.
I mean it's a whole new
frontieer but as the old saying
goes, where there's a will there's a way.

I think if we can build cities, formatted after the space station, we can actually solve a lot of the earth's energy issues. I know, I know, you're probably thinking "this man's thoughts are out there" but is that new? If you have read my other writings, or if you personally know me, you know I'm full of creative thoughts.

Dear readers, if you think about
it, solar energy is the
most abundant resource we have, I say why not put it to good use? You may be wondering what inspired this article, well first off I am a bit of a
sci-fi fan. I was watching the film Armageddon and decided to write about my thoughts.

I personally would never live on a spacestation, but it may be some people's cup of tea. Thank you for reading, and feedback
on this subject will be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to others opinions, ideas, etc.

God Bless you all

Spacestation Cities are a definite possibility.
But it will take some time to create the technology to make permanent living environments in space. Also it would cost billions of dollars. Maybe even trillions.

The cons of a spacestation city is that inside the living quarters would be very cramped. Also you could never go leave the city unless you were going to travel back to Earth.

There is one thing i know for sure though. NASA and other space associations around the globe are already in production of creating a living envirnoment on the surface of Mars.
