Unfortunately, nativism, xenophobia, bigotry, supremacy, will all continue to exist in our country and around the world. The targets have been varied over the decades and targets are chosen by religion, race and national origin. Some horrific crimes continue to be committed. People continue to die in America for reasons as simple as the color of their skin or the fact that they speak English with an accent.

Okay the campaign has come to an end. Another historical event has taken place on many fronts. In my lifetime I have seen many politicians make their promises, and only if you have delivered the goods. I was here when the new deal was the catch phrase of the day. That was just a new man, making new promises and nothing changed.
