Are snakes and turtles more alike than different?

To begin with, snakes are able to protect themselves by biting or hiding. In their bites, there is poison. Along with that, snakes have habits to eat rodents and to keep cool by staying in shade or under rocks. Furthermore, snakes move in a slithering motion. They move quickly if they feel endangered. On the other hand, turtles have shells to protect them, but they still bite at the enemy.

To add to that, turtles eat fish and plants and would never think of eating a rodent. Turtles do cool themselves by staying shade, like the snakes. The turtles, unlike snakes, waddle with legs to walk around. But, turtles do walk slowly when not in danger. After comparing protection, habits, and movement between those two reptiles, it is easy to come to the conclusion that snakes and turtles are more alike than different.
